WHERE TEXAS BECAME TEXAS. Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site is the place "Where Texas Became Texas"!  The 59 brave men who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence faced death for doing so.  Only because of their actions do we have the privilege of being Texans and living in the Lone Star State!  All proceeds from The Sundown Social will benefit this very special place and help preserve our unique and beloved Texas heritage.
